HID Board Meeting Minutes 3/15/2017
REGULAR BOARD MEETING
OF THE HEDLEY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
Wednesday, March 15, 2017 held at the HID office at 5:30 pm.
Trustees Present: Lynn Wells (Chair), Ruth Woodin, Robin Ford, Terry Sawiuk
Guests Present: Andy English, Gary Ross, and Richard Tarnoff by telephone.
Regrets: Dave Peers and Diane Wood
Lynn Wells called the meeting to order at 5:30 pm.
ADOPTION OF AGENDA
Motion (Robin/Terry) to adopt the agenda as presented.

MINUTES
The Minutes of the regular meeting of February 15, 2017 were circulated to the trustees prior to
the meeting. Lynn confirmed that all trustees had read the minutes. She then called for any errors or omissions and there were none.
Motion (Robin/Ruth) to accept the regular meeting minutes of February 15, 2017 as circulated.

FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT
All invoices are paid
Andy English read the March Fire Department Report into the record.
Motion: (Terry/Ruth) To accept the March 2017 Fire Department report as read.

Request from the Hedley Fire Department:
A letter from the HID to Special Events, I Canadian Air Division Headquarter, National Defense, in support of a flyby by RCAF Aircraft during the Planned Hedley Cenotaph Re-dedication Ceremony being held in Hedley for transit, on Saturday, August 26, 2017.
WATER REPORT
Robin Ford read the March Water System Report into the record.
Motion: (Robin/Terry) To accept the March 2017 Water System report as read.

941 Cawston – John Lacerino
Richard explained that in order to protect the HID from liability in the future regarding frozen pipes at the Lacerino residence, the HID should write a letter to him and have John sign this letter verifying John’s wishes to keep the system functioning the way it is and that he will be solely responsible in the event that the pipes on his property freeze again.
Richard will be putting the job of replacing the damaged and insufficient pipes out to tender.
