Trustees

Hedley Improvement District trustees are volunteers elected by landowners to direct the operation and administration of the water system, fire protection and street lighting services.  A trustee has several roles including that of community representative, steward of a public service, policy-maker and law-maker.

Every person who is qualified to be an elector in an improvement district is also qualified to be a trustee.  Being a trustee requires an investment of personal time and an interest in serving the public.

Get to know your trustees and come to the monthly board meetings held in the HID office at the Community Club Hall on the third Monday of each month.

Please note that anyone can attend a monthly meeting, but he/she is only allowed to speak once he/she is recognized by the chair. At that point, they will have five minutes to speak on an issue. If he/she has questions or comments, those need to be submitted by email prior to the meeting.

Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”
